Research

We develop research and study projects on Jewish Girona, the recovery of family lineages and genealogies, and the history of Jewish women. We compile this information into databases that are available to researchers and anyone interested in these subjects. Finally, in order to make this knowledge accessible to a wider audience, we publish the results of our research and studies in specialised journals and books at both national and international levels.

One example of this work is the documentation projectcarried out in 2017 by researcher Irene Llop on the Museum's Hebrew lapidary collection, with the aim of comparing epigraphic evidence with documentary sources and thus deepening our historical knowledge of the Jewish women and men mentioned on these stones.
