Teachers | Museum of Jewish History

The Museum offers tailored training for primary and secondary school teachers from educational centres across Catalonia, with the aim of providing teaching staff with tools and resources to prepare a self-guided visit to the Museum of Jewish History. Advisory sessions are organised on request and are led by specialists from the Museum of Jewish History with the support of the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies.

Objectives

To provide teachers with the essential knowledge required to guide their own class or group during a future self-guided educational visit to the Museum of Jewish History.
To facilitate the selection of the museum resources best suited to the pedagogical objectives of teaching staff and/or the school's educational team.
To explain the combined use of documentary and archaeological sources that has made it possible to reconstruct Jewish life in Medieval Girona.
To support the planning of complementary classroom activities that reinforce the group's visit to the Jewish Quarter.
