On the Museum's first floor you can see a rectangular stone with a 14th‑century inscription carved on Girona stone, on loan from MAC Girona.
It was likely located on the wall of Girona's synagogue, near the sacred ark (aron ha‑qodeix or hekhal) where the Torah scroll was kept. It is a call to the faithful to follow the commandments of Jewish Law, beginning with the biblical verse "House of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!" (Isaiah 2:5), and continuing with various verses from the Book of Psalms.
It was found outside the Call, reused in a house on Sant Francesc Street, in 1888.
