Human Rights Day

Human Rights Day is celebrated worldwide on December 10 to commemorate the day in 1948 when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a moral, ethical and legal framework that upholds fundamental human rights, which apply to all human beings without exception. It consists of a preamble and 30 articles covering civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights. The document has been translated into more than 500 languages.
