The Municipal Archive of Girona and the Image Research and Dissemination Centre (CRDI) offer guided visits to our facilities to introduce visitors to the place where documents are processed, preserved and shared, both those produced by the City Council and those from private sources. We also explain the differences between an archive and a library, how the archive was established, what kinds of documents can be found there, and what information can be obtained from them.

Visits take place at the Municipal Archive of Girona (Placeta de l’Institut Vell, 1) and last between 60 and 90 minutes.

How to request a visit

To request a visit, please contact the Municipal Archive of Girona or the CRDI directly.

A date must be arranged at least 15 days in advance. Visits are available from September to June, Monday to Friday. During the summer, please consult the centre. The maximum group size is 25 people, with a minimum of 10.
