Michael Culture Association

Michael Culture is an association created within the framework of several European projects mainly related to museum heritage.

Definition

Michael Culture is an association dedicated to the enhancement of European cultural heritage. It plays a key role in work focused on digitised cultural content. It is connected to other major European cultural heritage networks, mainly Europeana.

Objectives

The association’s main objective is to promote and enhance European cultural heritage through the following main activities:

• Workshops.
• Technological observatory and dissemination of best practices.
• Participation in international projects.
• Training and publications.
• Creation of a working network.
• Provision of various services.

Team

The association has a network of more than 150 public and private organisations representing 22 EU countries, mainly museums.

Participation

The Centre for Image Research and Diffusion (CRDI) of the Girona City Council is a member of the association in the category of “network member”.
