| 1824 | Travels to France and visits Paris to deepen his knowledge of lithography. Visits his friend Leandro Fernández de Moratín, poet and playwright, exiled in Bordeaux since the end of the war. Moratín writes: “Goya arrived, deaf, old, clumsy and weak, without knowing a word of French, yet so happy and eager to see the world.” |
