Guided tours of the exhibition 'Volaverunt. Goya's engravings revisited by the contemporary eye' that will reveal the uniqueness of the Mataró collection.
This exhibition is a unique opportunity to see the four major series of Goya's engravings, created between 1797 and 1819: Caprichos, Disasters of War, Tauromaquia, and Proverbs (also known as Disparates).
The engravings, which come from the Mataró Museum's collection, were printed at the Calcografía Nacional in Madrid during the Spanish Civil War. Technically, the edition -limited to 150 copies, with Mataró's print being number 16- is one of the most valued for its print quality.
Every Saturday at 12:00 pm.
Organized by: Actiescola SL. Hosted by: Girona History Museum, City Council of Girona. In collaboration with: Diputació de Girona and Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
