The figures that made up the old festive imagery of the city shine again at the History Museum of Girona after their restoration. The tasks, made on-site in the showcase of the facility, where the figures are permanently displayed, consisted in repainting, repairing and professionally cleaning their pieces and clothing. The work was carried out by the artist and expert in imagery of Girona Josep Perpinyà and the dressmaker Núria Berengaret.
While the restoration tasks were performed, the giants displayed, exceptionally, their inner wicker structures, the only ones made of this material.
Restorations were also made on the eight big-headed figures available to borrow by nurseries, kindergartens and elementary schools as an educative resource. These figures are the Witch from the Cathedral, the Head of Tow, Osiris King of Egypt, Pepet the Gipsy, Tarlan from Argenteria, General Napoleon, the Thief from St. Feliu
