Girona and Berga commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Aurora Bertrana with a program of activities during this 2024

The aim is to highlight the figure and work of the writer. In Girona, one of the outstanding activities will be Study and Disclosure Days to deepen the different artistic and intellectual facets of the author. In Berga there will be guided tours on various aspects of Aurora Bertrana's life and work.

Girona and Berga have jointly organized a program of activities for this 2024 in order to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Aurora Bertrana. The aim is to highlight the figure and work of the writer who was born in Girona and died in Berga.

Each city will organize different activities and they will also be carried out jointly. All the proposals will be carried out under a graphic image that has been designed for the occasion and which is entitled: "Remembering Aurora Bertrana. Girona 1892-Berga 1974. 50th anniversary of her death". A poster has also been drawn up to promote the events.

In Girona, the bulk of the proposals will take place between the months of September and December. One of the outstanding activities will be Study and Disclosure Days promoted by the Municipal School of Humanities and the Girona History Museum. In these we want to delve deeper into the different artistic and intellectual facets of Aurora Bertrana and Salazar. The day will focus on two axes: on the one hand, the literary universe, and on the other, the historical repercussion of the author. The conference will take place on October 9 and 10, and people and organizations will be invited to debate the figure of Aurora Bertrana and its relevance. The president of the Fundaci Prudenci Bertrana, Mari ngela Vilallonga, will be present; the literary historian Neus Real, and the journalist Eva V zquez.
