In 2017, Girona City Council acquired the legacy of the Fundació Espais. With the desire to make known the magnitude and diversity of its holdings, the Museum of History of Girona presents an exhibition that shows the enormous work carried out by this Foundation over two decades, both in the exhibition field and through its constant dedication in art history and criticism, giving voice to a whole generation of Catalan art critics, but also from the Spanish State.

The exhibition displays a samll selection of the 965 works currently owned by rhe Ajuntament de Girona. From the exhibition and the work carried out to document, order and conserve this legacy, this heritage collection will be made avalilable to the public. This cultural collection also opens up a path of great opportunities for making both the importance of the Fundació Espais in the dissemination of contemporany art and artistic and intellectual legacy taht will undoubtedly be of great importance for future art historians and critics.
