An emotional journey through the memories of two girls from Girona, Consol Colomer and Enriqueta Baulida, who, through their recollections, bring us closer to Girona during the bombings of the Spanish Civil War.
What was it like to live through a war as a child? Where could you hide when the sirens sounded? Through their memories, we discover how they experienced the bombings and the moments they spent sheltering underground to protect themselves from the bombs.
The activity is based on a text by Gemma Busquets and is part of «Escenaris de la Història», a project promoted by the Xarxa de Museus d'Història i Monuments de Catalunya.
The journey begins inside the air-raid shelter at Jardí de la Infància and ends in the Museu d'Història de Girona's galleries dedicated to the Spanish Civil War.
A journey through spaces and memories that invites us to discover Girona's history through the eyes of two girls who experienced it first-hand.
