We will learn about the stories of women who for many years remained in the shadow of official history, with the aim of bringing visibility to their life stories during those turbulent years. A tribute to women's struggle in wartime and to a generation of pioneering, committed, militant and republican women.
Gemma Busquets Ros (Banyoles, 1975) is a journalist and writer. Her field of research is historical memory from a gender perspective. She works at El Punt Avui and contributes to various publications, including the Revista de Girona. She is the author of Matrioixques sota les bombes (Llibres del Segle) and One Woman, Many Lives: Anna Maria Martínez Sagi "La Sagi" (Government of Catalonia), among others. She has won the Carles Rahola journalism award for the series Women in City Councils, about the first female councillors during the Civil War, and the Recull de Blanes award in the literary portrait category for research on the dancer Emma de Miranda.
