This book is the second in a collection dedicated to the artistic heritage of modern and contemporary art of the Girona City Council in relation to an exhibition cycle that is held in the exhibition rooms of the Girona History Museum to publicize the rich art heritage of the city.
This volume is dedicated to the Fons Progrup-Espais on the occasion of the exhibition "ESPAIS, an artistic phenomenon. A journey through contemporary art in Catalonia (1987-2010)." The exhibitions and books are the result of research and curatorial work by art historians, as well as the technical team of the Girona History Museum. In the exhibition corresponding to the same book, the curation was carried out by Glòria Picazo, who has highlighted the relevance that the Espais Foundation had for two decades and the importance of its legacy - the art, bibliographic and documentation collection - , as well as the publications he edited, such as catalogues, books and the magazine Papers d'Art, a set that is indispensable for the history of contemporary art in Catalonia. And it includes the texts of Gloria Picazo Calvo, Laia Terol Gimeno , Gloria Bosch Mir, Anna Capella Molas, Carme Ortiz Valeri, Joaquín Espuny Aguiló, Rosa Fraxanet Sala, Marta Pol Rigau and Narcís Selles Rigat.
