The abundant visual and written representation of Girona has almost created its own genre, closely linked to tourism promotion, but also to memory, sensitivity and aesthetic and social perception. Based on the book “Girona, en piedra viva”, of which it is not an illustration, but rather a pretext to stimulate critical debate, the exhibition presents a selection texts by Eva Vàzquez and photographs by Jordi Puig that They offer the possibility of stopping in certain blind corners of the constructed image and, at the same time, honoring the cultural and emotional foundation that feeds our gaze.
